The Latin Jazz & Salsa Festival”, was born in 2007. For the past seven years it has been held at the prestigious Dogwood Dell Amphitheater at Byrd Park in Richmond Virginia. With the Festivals growing popularity by uniting all cultures under “The Latin Jazz & Salsa” Banner. We applied for a 501-C non-profit status and received our Tax ID. We became something more than just a musical, cultural event. With the help of “The City of  Richmond, The Festival of The Arts Program & Office of Multicultural Affairs”, the festival has become more than a yearly event, but also a venue for community outreach and community services. This event like the music it represents, crosses all cultural lines. It has become a hub of teaching learning and exchanging of ideas. An opportunity to let the community know the services and support available to them.
This event has also become a meeting place where the community expects not only great entertainment but information and access to services needed thru-out the area. It targets and interacts with families and community members of all ages. Where a small family owned business owner, can afford to promote their shops and business and be proud they serve the community where they live in.

That’s why we are bringing “The 10th Annual Latin Jazz and Salsa Festival” “A Salute to Our Veterans”. To Broad Rock Park (Southside) Corner of Broad Rock Blvd. & Warwick Rd. This is a community that can benefit very much from the information and services that will be available at the event. There is a large Military presence in this area and Tri-City’s. McGuire VA Hospital is one mile away from Broad Rock Park. This area is growing and becoming a great viable contributor to the City of Richmond. Where the majority of the business are owned by the local longtime residents and the growing Hispanic community. We would like to invite all sponsor to participate in this great event. We are also accepting any give a way items or information tables that would benefit our Veterans and community All sponsors will have VIP passes and will be seated in the VIP area designated for them. Of course, we need funding. The City of Richmond provides the stage, sound system, venue, Porto Johns, etc. The Latin Jazz & Salsa Show/Festival Inc. provides, advertising, performer's, payment for performers, hotels rooms, flights, food and refreshments for all performers.

The fact is, “we put it all together on a volunteer and donation bases”. We are openly seeking sponsorship for this great event now in its 10th year. The quality of entertainment and community participation that we have been able to bring to the Richmond area, has been recognized and spot lighted on NBC, CBS, ABC, Telemundo and Comcast Public Access TV, morning news networks and day of event talk shows. Richmond Times Dispatch, Style Magazine, Heart and Soul News Paper, Metro News, Horizontes News, Nuevas Raices News. The amount of planning and work that goes into these events is very large. Yet a group of likeminded volunteers and small community businesses struggle and make it happen.                 This year we are in need, of a Title Sponsor The expected 5,000 plus people will have access to a large selection of services, outreach programs and information so badly needed in this area and the Tri-City. This year’s festival is dedicated to all the Military Veterans, particularly the “Latino Veterans”, and all those Veterans that have given the ultimate sacrifice, and those soldiers that continue to serve this great nation.
